【1】Product Model(Version)

This method is suitable for IP camera which has infrared light.

【2】Description of the problem

In night mode, IPC and PTZ, after the infrared light is turned on, the center of the monitor screen may be too bright, resulting in poor monitoring. As shown in the figure below, this time we need to do some configuration for IPC/PTZ.

【3】Problem Processing (Root Cause)

Root Cause: This problem is mainly caused by the uneven intensity of the infrared light. Often occurs when the object is too close to the lens,we can solve this by adjusting the intensity of the infrared light and the gain of the picture.

4-1 Step by Step Instructions

  1. Log in to the web interface of IPC/PTZ and open: Camera–>Conditions–>IR Light–>Manual Mode.

2、In order to reduce the brightness of the central infrared light and improve the brightness around the screen, we need to lower FarLight and improve NearLight

Note: To compare the effects, we adjusted NearLight to 0 and FarLight to 100. You can see that the center of the picture is brighter and the surroundings are darker.

3、If you use NearLight completely, you may find that the overall brightness of the screen is not enough. At this time, you can increase the brightness and Gamma to improve the brightness of the overall monitoring scene.
