1. How to set VTO as SIP server
For the main VTO, you need to enable SIP Server in the networking setting. Do not change other information in the following interface. Enable and save. The device will restart.
2. Group Call Setting
This function is usually used in villa system or small apartment architecture. For example, we want to inform incoming calls to several rooms from outside at the same time. You can enable it on the VTO website, as shown in the device properties.
The number format of the monitors is suggested to set with a hash-tag under this mode. For example, if the main VTH No. is 9901#0, then the sub VTH No. is supposed to be 9901#1 and so forth. In this way if the VTO call 9901, the main VTH and slave VTH will respond simultaneously.
You also need to set corresponding configuration on indoor unit. Long press Setting for 6s or more to enter the engineering configuration password and initialize a 6-digit password for the indoor unit.
Note that you may add room number like 9901, 9902, 9903 and so on if you disable this function.
On the VTH, you also need to input the corresponding information on VTH. So for this example, you may long press Setting and set the main VTH configuration as following:
You can see that if it is a main VTH, the configuration below room number is grey, which means you don’t need to edit it.
Input the main VTO username, password in the SIP server setting. Don’t forget to turn the enable status on.
Then finish VTO configuration, inputting the information of all the main-VTO and sub-VTO.
As for extension VTH, you only need to input the main VTH IP and password. The SIP server and VTO information will be synchronized from the main one.
3. Main VTO and Sub VTO setting(VTO No. Management)
Generally, you may use more than one VTO in the actual landing project. Thus, you need to plan for main and sub outdoor station setting.
Household setting → VTO No. Management → Add
- Input the sub VTO No. that you have modified.
- Input the sub VTO IP .
- Input the username and password of VTO.
- Click Save.
The VTO number should start with 8001 for the main VTO. And 8002, 8003 and so on for the sub ones, as shown below:
4. Use config tool for batch configuration
You can also use VDPConfig to configurate with template. Note that our tool can only support configurate for VTO and VTH devices.
Open the tool and select Project Configuration in the left navigation bar. Click Open Template and you will see the template with illustration inside. Save it on PC, otherwise you can not modify it directly because it is a read-only file.
Please read the guidance carefully and input the info in the Config table.
For example, if you’d like to configure all the things before, you may fill in the Excel file as following:
Remember to save the file name including “SIP”, otherwise the tool may not distinguish it when importing. After completing importing the template into VDPConfig, the device tree will be displayed.
Select the device needs configuration and execute. Wait for about two minutes for SIP services to be registered.
After all the selected devices to be issued successfully, there will be a check symbol given and the devices will restart. After the devices start, you can try to make calls between them to check issuing success. Now you can also use the latest config tool to do project setting. It can be downloaded from toolbox.

Here we give an example of two VTOs(one main VTO, one sub VTO, and one main VTH and one sub VTH).
1. All of these devices are recommended to be installed with the latest SIP firmware.
2. Before conducting configuration, we recommend to set factory default with all devices in case some existing data inside devices would affect the result of configuration, like shown below:
Then you go to Building Config page, which is like this:
You may set the global parameters first.

After global parameters are finished, we can add nodes.
Click and enter detailed information based on the real scenario. Click to save all settings.
Here is an example:
Villa solution with two VTHs (i.e. one is main VTH and another is sub VTH). Note that the number of Extension should include main VTH. So you need to enter two here, but actually there will only be one extension VTH.
After confirming the node structure, you need to click the device and its related node in pairs and click “Association” to bond them. Repeat the process until all devices to connect are associated.
Do remember to select the device node with its serial number, otherwise you will fail, with the
error prompt of “No device node is currently selected.
After finishing device tree, you can go to association list. Select the devices and click Config. It will appear a check symbol after configuration is done.
If all are online, you can try to call between each other.
