NVR video output mainly adopts VGA+HDMI interfaces. According to the signal output by the interface, it is roughly divided into 3 kinds at present. The specific information can be searched in the parameter information of device.
The first kind: 1 channel VGA+1 channel HDMI video output from the same source, that is, the VGA and HDMI output signal sources are the same, and the signals can be output at the same time. The contents displayed on the two displays are exactly the same.
Dual screen configuration: If the type of device needs dual screens to display at the same time, just connect the wires of the corresponding screen. The content and operation displayed of the two screens are completely synchronized, which will not be described in details here.
The second kind: 1 channel VGA + 1 channel HDMI video homologous and mutually exclusive output, that is, the VGA and HDMI output signal sources are the same, but the two interfaces cannot be used at the same time. If both are connected, the HDMI output is preferred, and VGA will prompt no signal.
Dual screen configuration: This type of device is homologous and mutually exclusive, and does not support dual-screen simultaneous display.
The third kind: 1 channel VGA+2 channels HDMI. Dual HDMI heterologous output, this kind of device can realize homologous display of the two screens like the first kind, or realize the heterogeneous output of the two displays to display different pictures. Among them, VGA and HDMI1 are the main ports, and HDMI 2 is the auxiliary port. The difference between the main port and the auxiliary port is as follows:
Main Port: Main display interface, this interface will display interactive information such as mouse and menu.
Sub Port: Sub display interface, used for real-time preview. This interface can only display real-time preview screen, and there is no mouse, menu interface. The content that the screen displays needs to be configured on main port.
How to configure dual screen:
Step1: Connect any screen to the VGA or HDMI 1 port, and then connect another screen to the HDMI 2 port
Step2：Select Main Menu>Display, enable Sub Screen, click Apply to save
Step3: Enter the preview interface of the main screen, right-click and select “Sub Screen” to enter the sub-screen configuration interface, and you can configure the screen division of the current sub-screen in the right-click menu. At this time, the configuration of the heterologous output of main screen and sub screen is completed. The two screens display different picture, and the screen split switching between main screen and sub screen does not affect each other.
Q1: After the screen is connected, the screen prompts“Decode Disable”
A: This situation is caused by the fact that the corresponding screen is not enabled. If only one screen is connected, it is generally caused by mistakenly connecting the HDMI 2 interface of sub screen. It is recommended to switch to the HDMI 1 interface before use. In the case of dual-screen connection, enter the reality output menu on main screen and enable the corresponding screen.
Q2: After turning on the device, there is no mouse on the screen, and the mouse light is normal. Moving the mouse repeatedly is invalid.
A: This problem is caused by the wrong connection of the screen to sub screen. The sub screen does not support mouse operation, which only supports configuration on main screen. Please change to the main port.
